That could work, along with Robert Martinu's idea which is essentially
the same (a Doomsday Network instead of a single Doomsday Device).
The "ionize and microwave" approach is also something like actual
science...as opposed to my original, which was "He pressed the ****ny
Red Button and...inexplicable Singularity magic happened. The End."
