Be aware that some company buildings feature certain anti-evesdropping 
techniques, like using metalised glass to prevent unauthorized cell 
phone use or analyse of EM-emissions.
Whatever prevents the sensitve parts from leaking any EM keeps those 
within save as well.
In a financial/IT district a significant amount of people would be 
unaffected.


Same goes with eletronics companies, they have to make sure their 
products don't create interference. To do this they have shielded rooms 
and an extensive suite of measurement devices. The moment one operator 
opens the hatch to the sample chamber the instruments would go crazy, 
alerting everyone that something is wrong.

The hospitals instruments should throw lots of "out of spec"-warnings at 
the operators as well. If it effects your brain, the heart monitor or 
even more sensitive the EEG gets it as well.
