They're marked with the concentration, it's not hard to work from that 
to calories or some other number you're comfortable with.

Also, people are reasonable robust against over or underfeeding.

Feed someone only half what they'd normally "need" and they'll do fine 
for a long time, longer than it takes you to notice that they're getting 
thinner.
