Since one of its uses is for sleep apnea (either as an alternative or
supplement to the usual treatment of CPAP), and sleep apnea is reasonably
common, I'd expect most pharmacies to have it.   AIUI, it's reasonably
safe as such things go.  Not nearly as dangerous as methamphetamines.

I expect so.  And while I'm not sure how much would be kept on hand
by the military, plenty of folks there would know about it.

Plus... if *anybody* would know about it, it'd be chronically
overworked, sleepy professions, such as nursing.  And college
students.  Etc, etc.
