The diamonds are of limited size so you'd have to use them for tiling 
rather than as single monolithic surfaces, which might reduce their 
value as countertop material.

Considering their heat conduction properties they might make good 
cookware, though. I wonder if polished diamond would serve as a 
non-stick surface.
