That explains why I couldn't find it. But if you're referring to 
rec.arts.sf.science, he's been posting here for years, so a post from 
early December would hardly be his first.

I think if you checked it out, you would agree that he's a troll. In the 
end it's the effect, not the method, which determines one. If you generate

constant off-topic discussions which degenerate into name-calling, then 
you're a troll even if you always claim to be trying to discuss the topic 
of the group.
