Yes, that's quite a clever idea.  A lot more people would have fun with 
that kind of hypothetical, rather than trying to answer a hypothetical 
that is so ludicrous that it's hard to take seriously.

Indeed.

And, to be honest, it's kind of amusing to see him drive off into the 
woods trying to defend his wacky ideas and hypotheticals with more and 
more ridiculous claims, such as "Mathematics is not universal" or "More 
major scientific advances were made by artisans than scientists."
