Yeah. Impossible to know. Knowing the lottery-numbers is however
manageable.

Just out of curiosity, what do think the odds are of ending up 
-ARRESTED- as a result of walking up to a person on the street and 
asking politely for a dollar for the bus home ?

How do you think this compares to the odds of showing up at someones 
door with a batshit-crazy story, and have the person you speak to 
actually believe you and act on your story ? F

Depends on what it is. We're talking ONE SINGLE DOLLAR!

If he needed a million within the hour, I could see it getting tricky by 
selling stuff. But -one- dollar ? Do you really honestly think that 
aquiring -ONE- dollar is a difficult task ?

For example, if he landed in Norway, he could get one dollar by bringing 
along 2 empty soda-bottles, insert them into a return-machine (available 
in all locations that sell soda i.e. hundreds in any city) and claim the 
dollar. No human interaction whatsoever required.

Now you're gonna claim there's NO WAY he could know that. Go ahead, it's 
your universe. That doesn't make it any more believable though.

You could also claim that walking down the street carrying two empty 
soda-bottles will lead to your immediate arrest. In that alternate 
universe you live in I mean, the rest of us don't recognize that one
though.
