rocket science!

From a discussion of Andrew Burt's campaign for SFWA President:

"Besides, one hardly has to be a big time writer to understand the
industry and to work effectively within that industry to address the
most important issues. It's not rocket science."

Is it more difficult to become a professional writer than a rocket
scientist? There's certainly more competition for the writing job.
