Years ago, with far fewer panes to work with, I built two screens. One
had panels that were evenly divided vertically, but with a different
number of panes on each side. The other had patterns. 

The patterned one sold for eight times more, but because of the
varying width of the stiles, the fitting in of wooden blocks to fill
holes, and the time spent figuring out the patterns, the $/hr were
considerably less.

If I could shortcut the layout, and have it come out without holes,
I'd have the best of both worlds.

Thanks! That gives me a great idea -- I have a couple of packages of
cardstock and a paper shear . . .
