Don't know. One was in an anthology. The "creator" winds up inserting
himself into this Universe on planet Earth as a Jesus like character I
believe. 

The other was probably in Analog where the scientists about to
discover the truth are eliminated. 

I was hoping to go through a number of such stories and try to trace
the origin and the variations on the theme.
