I see two main problems using occultation to detect a stealthy
object.-
1 - there are many small objects out there already.
2 - discrimination between a single object occulting two stars or two
objects each occulting separate stars close in space and time.
3 - looks to me like it will take a sizeable period of observation and
an excellent algorithm in the computer to sort things out by looking
for correlation among lots and lots of observations. But then it would
also perform the Safeguard task while it's at it.
