and never confirmed. But we can do the next best thing, take the 
endpoint of a very long, very thin solenoid.

in a static gravitoelectric field you won't see any action, but a 
planetary system or any rotating mass will also cause a (very week) 
gravitomagnetic dipole field (just like a circular electric current) 
which will attract (or repel, depending on sign) your monopole. Probably 
the usual gravitational effect on the monople's mass is orders of 
magnitude larger, since unlike in the electric case there is no way to 
****eld mass.
