Nutrients:
Protiens - LBV (contain not enough amino acids) 
         - HBV (contain enough amino acids)

Fats - Saturated
       Poly / mono unsaturated

Carbohydrates - Simplex (sugars)
              - Complex (starches)

Vitamins - Fat soluble (eg A and D)
         - Convertable from other stuff - eg carotene

Minerals - 

Water -

Have a look at how diabetes works to see how complicated it can get - 
getting the numbers wrong puts people at risk of "diabetic coma" or, much 
more likely, long term minor - moderate and eventually severe problems.
