Whereas characters that can accelerate at "10 G forever" are not.
Even if you had a robotic character in your yarn, as with Spirit and
Opportunity roaming Mars as we write, that would preclude "dead
reckoning", the reckoning would be by computer and not slide-rule,
pencil and paper, and astrolabe.
