True. But I was wondering about the growth-curve.

Seems to me a hypothethical non-eva****ating tiny black hole could orbit
inside the sun for a long time without picking up anything.

For the perspective of the black-hole, even the interor of the sun is a
near-vacuum. The distance between particles that can be swallowed is
MUCH larger than the diameter of the black hole.

One it starts growing though, this changes gradually. And as the hole
gets larger, so does its apetite and its gravity, though feeble at first.

But just how dramatic would the process be ?

How long would it take for a hole of this type orbiting inside the sun
to grow from the size where it swallows 1g/day and until it eats the
entire sun ?

How long from we-detect-hole-inside-sun and to sun-disappears ? Years ?
Months ? Weeks ? Days ? Hours ?
