I don't disagree with you; it just bugs me less. The constant in-person
shaky-cam is really annoying. The artificial camera motions that
suggest the camera is somewhere it couldn't possibly be are somewhat
less so to me.

They're in between what you describe above and the blatant shaky-cam for
me. For instance, the artificial jerky zooming and panning we see a lot
in a series like _Battlestar Galactica_, which is overdone, especially
in what are essentially "static" shots of the fleet.

It's sometimes attached to the CGI when they're zooming and panning
around, but even then there's often this digital noise scrolling and
panning by. The noise attached to the grid looks technical, but doesn't
appear to be anything coherent (and there's an awful lot of it).
