At what range? you don't fire a grenade launcher at someone 12 feet away, 
but they were chasing him around a dockyard or were you not watching?

There wsa obviously a continuity error then as they were able to track him

moving and if you remember in one episode of SG1 they beamed a whole 
building into space, so they could have easily beamed a building he was in

away.
