IOW SG2. But if that's the direction they're going, why cancel SG1? The 
problem still is that the underlying or overarcing reason for the show is 
.... un- or ill-defined, other than SG1 was profitable so let's make more.

Making a spin-off isn't inherently a bad thing. You just need a better 
setup--and followthru:

That said, I like the idea of making Pegasus more mysterious. So far, 
they've travelled millions of light-ye-er, thousands of light-years to
find 
more medieval worlds and reignited a war millennia in the making. The 
problem so far is that SGA has painted itself into a corner in that
they've 
shown the past in the uberpowerful Ancients and shown the future with the 
Ascended.
