That's likely, since Dad's been there and done that. And they've been
setting up Dean's sacraifce to mirror their dads. That and the
revelationt
that demons are just really powerful humans who've spent time in hell and
it's a sure bet that somewhere along the way, Dean's going to hell, kick
some ass and come back as the next season's big bad... maybe forcing Sam
to
access his demonic half to fight him?
