According to Wikipedia, the car used in "Knight Rider 2010" was
depicted as a 1969 Ford Mustang, but actually was custom-built using a
contem****ary Ford Thunderbird chassis.

The model used in the earlier "Knight Rider 2000," while fa****oned
after the Pontiac Banshee IV concept car, is said to actually have
been a customized 1991 Dodge Stealth (itself a rebadged Mitsubi****
GTO).
