The only situation she could be referring to is the climactic gunfight
with Green Arrow, Lex, and herself at Luthor Mansion. Clark did take
the bullet(s) which were streaking toward Black Canary and saved her
life.
Of course Clark was in superspeed at the time, presumably moving
faster than she could have observed his actions. The best answer, I
think, is that she has some degree of special Canary Vision which is
more acute than ordinary human eyesight.
Canaries = birds of prey. IMO I think they just screwed up -- same with
Clark's ears bleeding.
