I suspect they meant next season, i.e. Fall 2008.

No. There isn't enough time to do a complete arc for HEROES for
the spring. And given that, as said, they want to do a "major
re-launch campaign" for each of the series, they feel it's
better to wait for the fall rather than try a relaunch now
for just a handful or episodes, and then another re-launch in
the fall.
