Actually it did. Magic is a far more wide-ranging and powerful ability 
than any of those others. A Slayer has to physically punch or kick 
something and she can only do that one person or thing at a time.

A spell (for example, artificial sunlight) could slaughter legions in a 
heartbeat.

None of the other characters had an ability that would make them even a 
fraction as powerful as Willow if her abilities had been used logically 
by the character instead of just for fun stuff like decorating the house 
for parties.
