He may not be one of the Oceanic Six at all.  He seems to be with Ben
who certainly isn't.  Maybe those two got away separately and
secretly.  Didn't Ben also say something about Sayid having to kill
these people in order to save his friends?  He may be blackmailing
Sayid or perhaps just manipulating him.  Or it could be that whatever
Sayid and Ben are doing actually is keeping some group of people
alive.  If the Six escaped by violating some rules of space/time, for
example, it could be that simply restoring it to normal would result
in them dying.  Or someone might be trying to kill them to restore
some other continuum or because s/he thinks their continued existence
threatens the natural order of the universe.  Or Ben (probably not
alone) is just threatening to kill them (or maybe Nadia or someone
else) to keep Sayid in line and there's some other reason altogether
for who he's killing.

This is what I mean by too many options with too few clues.  One can
speculate, but any kind of intelligent guessing is still pretty much
impossible.
