My take:

I didn't like the character of Jaime Sommers.  I don't know if it was 
the writing or the actress (Michelle Ryan) or both, but there just 
wasn't the warmth there that Lindsay Wagner had in the original BW.

I didn't like the rest of the premise.  I know people are upset about 
Iraq and all, but how many evil dark Government agents can we see 
depicted on TV and in the movies already?  In the original BW, Richard 
Anderson made Oscar Goldman into a believable, dull-but-decent bureaucrat.

I guess that in sum, there just wasn't anyone to cheer for in a show 
that's supposed to be about a modern-day superhero.  The original BW was 
fun--a bit campy, a bit tongue-in-cheek.  The new BW show forgot how to 
have fun.  It took itself much too seriously.
