That would be a good thing given that the boat had simultaneous contact
(by phone and by probe telemetry) with two different times on the island.
(Unfortunately, they have made reference to the range to the boat in
connection with the operation of the phones, but that could just be a
mistake.)  Regardless, they now have an effective way to send messages
some 30 minutes into the past.  This is good for all kinds of mischief.
Without getting into the complications of multi-hop transmissions I think
I'd start with dog or horse races...
