One has already left the island: Desmond.

Another desperately wants off the island, and has some influence with
Jack: Juliet.

Do they make it home? I don't know. Officially the other 2 died before
they were rescued. So we resolve the love quadrangle thus: Sawyer stays
on the island. Juliet "dies." Jack and Kate end up together, or would if
Jack was able to settle down and make peace with himself over Aaron.

The freighter people want the island to be kept a secret. Oceanic wants
a plausible story that will put the company in the best light possible.
The losties know that nobody will believe them. The freighter people
take 8 losties from the island and leave them on another island near the
"official" crash site where they can be "rescued." (Jack thinks that
they are still in the Pacific.) In real time they were on the island for
more than a year, and one, Kate, even gave birth while there, so the
story goes. They become instant celebrities. The rescuers find 8 people,
but there is no explanation for the extra 2, so the story is that the
other two died before they were rescued.

Abbadon knows that there were more survivors than the official 8. He
knows the "official" story. He wants to know if any flight 815 survivors
are still on Lost Island.

My guess is that the freighter people want Aaron off the island. They
know that Aaron is a successor to Ben. Miles will get paid off by Ben
and re****t him dead. The freighter people will take losties off the
island, but only if Aaron is with them. Claire is in Locke's camp and
won't leave the island. Jack and Kate concoct a plan to kidnap Aaron to
they can be rescued. The time warp allows Kate to claim that she got
pregnant and gave birth to Aaron between the time of the crash and the
official rescue.
