I just posted this summary for someone else:
I didn't watch it on Sci Fi, but going from the DVD...it looks like you
missed a lot. She takes him to a boy who had been ****elded from the
others
infected people. It turns out the boy has meningitis which is almost
instantly fatal to the parasites but humans can survive. As they are
trying
to escape, Alex falls into a pool of water that full of the parasites and
gets infected. He and Sam fight. The military sprays meningitis over the
infected areas. Later Sam and Andrew are inspecting an abandoned area and
some dust or something falls on his head he falls over and suddenly
despite
his still wearing his suit and being fully visible to everyone, Andrew is
infected by a parasite. They check him out with the heat sensor but comes
back clean. Andrew is able to walk without his cane and just as someone
points this out to Sam, Andrew is stealing a helicopter. Sam runs and at
the last moment jumps onto it. Andrew and Sam fight in the helicopter.
It
turns out the parasite adjusted the temperature to not be detected. Sam
shoots the controls and then holds Andrew against the short circuiting
controls which causes the parasite to flee. It's then blown out of the
helicopter and shredded by the rear blade. It ends with Sam and Mary
walking off together talking about their relation****p and how she knows
him
so much better than he knows her because of the parasite.
