Yeah that is kind of weird, and I have no good answer for that. Perhaps
the
more we get to understand Jacob, the more light on this will be revealed.
Maybe the healing abilities of the island are selective with who (whom) it
heals. Ben seems to be a bully, so maybe the island doesn't like him very
much. *lol*
