They wrote 2 endings for this season - one (which looks to be the likely
one) will wrap up the series.  The other was designed in case they got
picked up for another season, which would lead to the 3rd season.

This show is one of my guilty pleasures, its not all that good, but I
continue to watch/enjoy it.
