They really screwed the pooch when they made one of the geeks female. 
Well, 
actually, it was the male "beauty" who screwed up the show's dynamics --  
they might have succeeded with all male beauties and all female geeks.

"Amazing Race" barely survived this kind of theoretical stupidity (the 
season where they used families with kids and limited it to the USA).  An 
extremely marginal show like "B & G" probably won't.

Many producers seem to have a hard time understanding what makes their
shows 
attractive to their audience.
