It could be that when she did ask the question, she got stonewalled by
Ben. It could be why she is so hostile to him in nearly every regard. And
why she was so eager to work with Jack and the others once she found out
about other pregnant women. It was a chance to do some more investigations
w/o Ben jerking her around.
