I think part of it is that, beyond the obvious twins facts that he
can't die and doesn't age, he's just like you or I - with more
experience.

I liked the links to the past - the yearly picture (and how THAT is
taken at the very spot he received the wound that made the Indians
give him the gift/curse), the little bits of knowledge that you
mentioned, meeting his old girlfriend.  I liked the fact that we found
out that he hasn't always been a cop.

There's a lot of potential here and I hope they can build on it.

I WAS going to give it a slightly lower score than you did, but the
idiots giving out *absurdly* low scores (come on people, there's NO
call for giving it a 1 score) have convinced me to go higher - 4.25.
