Exceptionally.  But totally predictable, where Locke is concerned. I
don't think it was so much that Ben finally gave Locke information as
it was he played up the "let me eat with utensils" angle.  It really
reminds me of that scene in "The Man From Tallahassee" where Ben begs
Locke for some dignity, which brings back memories from being in the
wheelchair. Locke, despite all his bluster, is really a softie and
always has been, and Ben plays on that perfectly.

A friend thinks that it may be because Daniel's actually been to
Craphole before (he's suffering from the same time malady as Desmond),
but I think it's simply because Widmore has information from ex-DHARMA
employees re: the Tempest, which is how they knew where it was to
begin with.

I'm not sure that he's not actually ON the freighter, myself...

No, it doesn't seem like something someone that rich and powerfull
would tend to personally...
