Sorry I didn't even notice that. I remember the first computer was an old 
Apple II, about 1980 or so. Speaking of which, whatever happened to the 
"every 108 minutes" imperative?

Indeed. The whole poison gas business is silly. First we are led to assume

the newcomers intended to gas everyone, then it turns out they were there
to 
*stop* the poison gassing (and just in the nick of time! -- after all
these 
months)! Why wouldn't they just explain their purpose at the outset,
instead 
of looking guilty, running off, bopping poor Kate over the head, etc.,
etc.?

What's annoying about this is that the writers are straining so hard to
keep 
characters ambiguous, keep the viewers guessing as to whether character X
is 
a good guy or a bad guy, that they've just thrown rational behavior out 
the 
window. This good-guy-or-bad-guy business has been a hallmark of the
series 
practically from the get-go, and they are sure overworking it.
