No, it never happened in that timeline. In the T2 timeline it did
happen. At least that's how it should work since any major change in
the timeline should change events in the future to the point that they
diverge dramatically from what occurred leading up to the trip to the
past. But in a universe where a guy can send back a friend to the past
to become that guys father who will then become his friend in the
future so he can then send him back to the past to become his father
again ad infinitum... Well anything you want is possible in that
world.
