Not really, since most of these business units run as individual
companies. So the movie might do great business for the movie side of
the house but none of that revenue will show up in the television side
of the company. So neither side cares if the other is putting out a
new product or not since it doesn't show up in their bottom line.
I agree it's a stupid thing from a company standpoint, but it's the
reality for many studio companies.
