The latest episode, though, suggests that it was extraordinary that John 
told Omar - the only reason he did was to move forward with his 
"treatment" for alcoholism.

In general, the show has been very inconsistent about whether or not 
John really does keep his secret; after all, he drop enough hints that 
someone is bound to figure things out eventually.
