I know.
It makes no sense at all.
I know some people liked her ( but then some like her "comedy" as well ) 
though surely they should have seen the number of viewers who hated that 
episode and chosen not to annoy them even more. I only watched about 15 
minutes before I switched off.

The only explanation I can think of is that they are convinced that having

"a big name" is enough to get the ratings up.

I also think that they have realised that they may have made a mistake and

RTD is getting his excuses in early and will use the time slot to blame
for 
the poor ratings.
