Discussions like this are littered with people claiming a show is done,
but
there seem to be more and more examples of that not being the case. It
may reflect the 300-channel universe and need for programming, but a
show like Friday Night Lights makes a deal with DirecTV, or Scrubs
gets picked up, and another CBS show (a comedy I can't recall which
one) is ready to get picked up if CBS doesn't renew it. Meanwhile the
Jericho showrunner said before CBS's cancellation that the possibility
of a new home was still there. These are just very recent examples and
there are several past ones.

In any case, my post was mainly questioning the doom and gloom over
Kevin Falls signing a new deal, with Sony I learned from a search just
now. Apparently Sony has hired several TV showrunners recently, and
they'd certainly have the resources and worldwide marketing clout and
experience in foreign sales and syndication to make Fox an offer and
get Journeyman going again if they and Falls wanted to.
