I found this just now. Even the fanatics at
http://savejourneyman.net/2008/04/02/the-news-we-have-been-dreading/
who have been campaigning past the point of sanity for a Journeyman
pickup, have given up. Their reasons are stated at the link, but they
include Falls's departure and a complete lack of interest by either NBC
or Fox in reviving the show. It seems convincing to me.
