Humanoid Cylons have Free Will. ("I'm programmed not to think about the

Chrome toasters can't harm humanoid Cylons.
Chrome toaters are all programming. The BaseStars are even more in tune
with 
their Cylon nature.
That's why when that raider recognized Anders, everybody quit attacking
and 
left. I bet there's some pretty perplexed and pissed off humanoids on
those 
BaseStars wondering why the hell they jumped against orders.
Any time any of the 4 were shot at, they were shot at and missed.
