In part 1, the Nazis said that the Russians were trying to retake
Moscow. In part 2, we learn that the timeline went off track when
someone assassinated Lenin in 1916. As a result, the Communists did not
take over Russia and industrialize it, so Hitler didn't consider Russia
to be a threat. Therefore he concentrated all his resources on the
West. Why then would German troops be in control of Russia at least as
far as Moscow?
How did Hitler even come to power without a Communist threat with which to
scare people?
