If Jericho manages it on the heels of Friday Night Lights, then I think
Journeyman`s chances ought do go up because all the shows were in
similar situations -- borderline too-low ratings but with a strong core
base and good critical reception. NBC will have found a way to work
with DirecTV to keep Friday Night Lights, and CBS will have found
a way to work with Comcast to do the same with Jericho.
If NBC`s contractual deadline for changing their decision not to do
more Journeyman has lapsed or is about to, it would be in FOX`s
court to put together a deal on Journeyman. They could sell the show
to Sony and then Sony could put together such a deal. But there may
also be some synergy for both FOX and Sony, pairing up with a third
party like a cable or satellite or cell phone company for example.
