And Anime News Network says Steven Spielberg is hot for it, but not
directly involved in it.

I won't mind seeing them try it.  Maybe it'll be like the Star Trek
movies, where there's one good one ( original GitS ), one not so good
one ( Innocence ), and then this could be another good one.  :)
