If I had been watching when I was 3, I would have been watching Patrick 
Troughton. :)

My kids had seen early episodes when they were quite young however and 
it never affected them in the least.  In fact, they laughed at the 
Daleks.  Plan 9 probably was scarier.  You see?  You see?  Your stupid 
minds! :)
