LOL! Yeah, that one nearly knocked me off my chair. I thought, surely 
they can't think the audience is *that* stupid. Apparently they did.

What just kills me about Smallville week after week after week is how in 
the Clark Kent universe, the concepts of personal privacy and social 
norms are apparently completely absent. People constantly walk into each 
other's homes and offices with impunity. No knocking, nothing. Just 
barge right in.

I mean, Lex Luthor, Oliver Queen and Lionel Luthor are supposed to be 
billionaire captains of industry and people just seem to routinely walk 
in off the street and barge right into their offices and their homes. I 
doubt I'd get very far if I just showed up at Microsoft and tried to 
walk into Bill Gates's office or home. Yet Clark or Lana or Chloe must 
storm into Lex's mansion at least once an episode. Why the hell doesn't 
he just lock the door or, you know, tell his goons to stop letting 
everyone in who happens to stop by?

And did I miss something-- why the hell were Clark and Lana so reluctant 
to tell Kara who she was when she had amnesia? The only explanation I 
heard was Lana saying, "She'll never believe you Clark. You have to 
protect her from the truth."

Huh?

All he had to do was bench press a tractor or ignite a bonfire with his 
eyes or something. That would be a pretty ****ing convincing argument. 
It's like everyone on this show can't wait to find a reason to lie to 
each other (even when it makes no sense to do so) so that they can then 
turn around and have great angst about all the lying they have to do.
