Best I can tell, you're drawing conclusions there's no basis for.  It
happens all the time with nitpicks.  There can be literally 1,000+
things that could account for something the writers simply haven't
yet explained, but the nitpick will attempt to rule out this or that, or
insist that this or that is necessary or that something seen before
can only be interpreted in one way.

Even assuming some beings were moving her around, they may have
only wanted to give her the signposts she has, rather than a detailed
sky survey from Earth's point of view.  Or it may have just happened
that way -- that she couldn't obtain or remember more information
than what she had about the ringed gas giant and triple star system.

Assertion with literally no basis that you've demonstrated.

That assumes the beings, or her subconscious, or whatever led her
to Earth, allowed for a zodiac map check to assist Usenet nitpicks
in gaining validity they don`t have.

The nebula was a marker of sorts but they're still looking for a
needle in a very big haystack.

Dramatic license is an inconvenient concept for a Usenet nitpick that
just doesn't want to quit, but flash it probably did, to Starbuck.

Maybe the writers considered that, found it boring and repetitive,
and decided to go with this instead.  They've gone through the
legend of Earth stage, and Roslyn's vision and Arrow of Apollo
phase, including the sky map that led them to the nebula. Now in
the home stretch, we have Starbuck and Roslyn perhaps having
the competing visions, and Starbuck's crew perhaps ready to
pull a mutiny on the bounty while she goes round the horn and
maybe off the deep end.  More interesting than just plotting out
stars on a map and exclaiming they've found Earth.

For all we know the Alpha Centauri system, if indeed that's her
vision, turns out to be some original cylon colony or the like.  Or
maybe it's just a coincidence and the writers weren't intending
Alpha Centauri, but I don't think any nitpick can rule it out let
alone dismiss it as bad writing.  If it's NOT Alpha Centauri, it's
arguably bad writing for making it such a perfect fit for the triple
star Alpha Centauri system.
