It's not disrespectful. It's a legitimate question.

Why does there have to be anything redeeming about them in order to like 
them? The same could be said of the Sopranos. Didn't stop that one from 
being a hit for years.

Soap is synonymous with bad acting. Dictionary.com isn't going to tell 
us that.

What I find interesting is that after a couple of action episodes early 
on, people were whining that there wasn't enough about the characters or 
the fleet. They add that into it, and voila, complaints about not enough 
action. They can't win.

This show balances it all. It's obvious to anyone who actually watches 
the show that these episodes are leading to a lot more action in the 
very near future. Unfortunately, FF through the show means that the pay 
off will have little meaning to you.

That's why I wonder why you bother.
